Mr. Dzivi has over 20 years of experience representing
various types of financial institutions and
corporations on complex financial matters.
His background in the financial services
practice includes serving as counsel to the United
States Senate Banking Committee, a partner at
Pillsbury Madison & Sutro, LLP and Acting
General Counsel at the Federal Home Loan Bank of
San Francisco.
During the 1980's savings and loan
crisis, Mr. Dzivi first served as counsel advising
the federal banking regulators on enforcement
actions against institutions and individuals.
Later, he served as counsel to the Senate Banking
Committee, advising the Committee on its
regulatory oversight responsibilities and
drafting legislation. Mr. Dzivi also was the
principal advisor to the Committee Chairman on financial
institution accounting issues.
In private practice at Pillsbury,
Madison & Sutro, LLP, Mr. Dzivi represented a
large number of corporations, financial
institutions and high net worth individuals.
His practice was focused on financial institutions
and included litigation, transactional and
regulatory matters.
After founding the Firm, Mr. Dzivi
served as Acting General Counsel for the Federal
Home Loan Bank of San Francisco for approximately
one year.
Mr. Dzivi’s recent practice includes the following

Financial Institutions Committee and chaired the
Subcommittee on Federal Legislation.
